Katrina Relief Collections to Close

Brethren and Friends,

Thanks to the efforts of the extended Utah Masonic Family and many others, the donation drive for material goods such as clothing, non-perishable food and personal hygiene items for the Katrina evacuees in Utah has met its objective. All such donations should discontinue effective Thursday, September 15th, 2005.

The best way to assist the hurricane victims now is to make monetary donations to the Masonic Foundation of Utah. Monies collected for this cause will be given directly to the Red Cross and other legitimate charitable organizations who are directly involved in the Katrina relief effort.

By donating to the foundation, the Utah Masonic Family can extend a unified helping hand of relief to our friends in need.

Please make your checks out to :
    The Masonic Foundation of Utah
    650 E. South Temple
    Salt Lake City, UT 84102

Please specify “Katrina Relief Efforts” on the check.

Again, thank you to all who donated clothing, food and personal items for this cause. Now, I think, we should concentrate on making cash contributions to the Masonic Foundation of Utah to help the individuals and families who have been stricken by the Katrina disaster.

Sincerely yours,

Dean Rein
